Plasma propagation of excimer laser-ablated ZnO target

The research facilities at LAMSAT include various innovative custom-built thin-film and nanoparticle coating deposition systems and properties characterization methods. The deposition systems include single-laser and dual-laser PLD, microwave plasma-assisted spray deposition, laser-assisted spray pyrolysis deposition, a multi-technique deposition system, and chemical vapor deposition.
These processes can be characterized and monitored by the assorted in-situ optical diagnostic methods available. The films, coatings, and structures deposited by these techniques can be characterized by XRD, SEM, EDS, Hall Effect and temperature-dependent resistivity measurement systems, and a ferroelectric tester with microprobe station.
